Roofing, the constant protector of your home

Roof Construction and Repair

A sound roof is vital in keeping a building weather tight and as the most exposed element of the building, it is prone to serious damage that can result in water ingress. Heritage undertake projects ranging in size from repair of rainwater goods to entire reroofing of all roof types including slate, tile and corrugated iron.

Heritage also specialises in thatching using traditional materials and taking cognisance of appropriate regional styles and detailing so thatched roofs retain their authentic character.

Is my house a protected structure?
Under current legislation, a building formerly known as "listed" is now called a "protected structure". All local authorities have a register of protected structures that can usually be found on their website and if not further advice can be sought from the council’s Conservation Officer or planning department.
