Heritage restores windows and doors, only replacing sections of decayed timber and retaining their original ironmongery. Keeping the heat in
To improve the energy efficiency of your historic windows at night, ensure that your shutters are in proper working order. A study by Historic Scotland found that using a blind and closing the curtains and shutters reduces the heat loss through a window more than double glazing.
